About Hundredcedar
Miyazaki Prefecture, where we live, is known for its strong sunlight. Many of our customers build homes along the coastline, and for generations, cedar has been used for seaside houses.
Japanese cedar is highly resistant to harsh conditions such as UV exposure and humidity. With its distinct four seasons and ever-changing environment, Japan requires building materials that can adapt, making domestically grown cedar an ideal choice for traditional homes.
Our Hundredcedar series is crafted from Japanese cedar over 100 years old, carefully selecting only the finest sections with superior grain detail, beauty, and durability. Wood that has grown for over a century is naturally rich in oils and resins, enhancing its strength, longevity, and stunning natural grain, while also allowing it to develop a beautiful patina over time.
Since our founding in 1959, we have dedicated ourselves to working with wood, refining our craftsmanship and expertise. The wall panels we create are a testament to our heritage, skill, and passion for quality materials.
